Anne Eady

Anne Eady

As a student nurse Anne Eady went to work in 1964 on the recently established dialysis unit at the Royal Free, and was attracted to its new ways of working and the expanded role for nurses (see Extending Professional Roles).

She continued in renal nursing at the Royal Free and then at Guy’s.

She met and married Robin Eady, a dialysis patient, and for many years they undertook home dialysis together until he was transplanted.

Hear more about Anne  Eady’s unique experience as both renal nurse and carer in an interview in 2021 with Neil Turner for Kidney Research UK. (coming soon)
