British Renal Society (BRS) (1989-2021)
Starting as the British Renal Symposium in 1989, it became BRS in 2001.Not an organisation with individual members, the BRS developed to represent the renal multiprofessional team by acting as an umbrella organisation for the growing number of non-medical professional groups. In 2021 it merged with the Renal Association into a new single organisation for kidney professionals, the UK Kidney Association .
